Happy Anniversary!

H

It’s Valentine’s Day, 2022. And the Assume Love blog is now Sweet Sixteen. I published the first post on Valentine’s Day in 2006. I hope that it’s helped you celebrate more happy Valentines Days since then.

Happy seventh anniversary to my cousin’s daughter (my first cousin once removed) and her marvelous second husband. What a great choice of wedding days.

And (this one is my favorite), happy second anniversary to Tinkerbell! The live action reference model for Tinkerbell in the 1953 Disney animated film, Peter Pan got married two years ago today. What a great love story. Margaret Kerry, an actress since 1933, when she was just four years old, dated Robert Boeke, a college student in Los Angeles, right after World War II. They broke up when he took a job in Northern California while she had a regular part in a TV sitcom in LA.

At age 94, shortly after Bob was honored at the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, he walked into Tinkerbell’s Toys in Amsterdam and told them he’d been in love with Tinkerbell all his life. The store put the two of them in touch, and he soon proposed. They married two years ago today. May they both live happily ever after!

In honor of all these wonderful anniversaries, I want to offer you a free copy of 37 Ways to Stop a Marital Argument, which I have just updated. Send me a request in the blog’s Contact form, and be sure to double-check your email address, so I can get it to you. Happy Valentine’s Day, wonderful readers!
